SURVIVAL-NOTES FROM THE DARK ISLES Dear friends, Another year has passed and it is about time to look back and forth. Still sitting here freezing in old Hindersböle, Maarianhome, Alandia, listening to exotic music and struggling on at work trying to make it pay. So, January 2001… must have been working on Winter Jazz & Blues in February making it a success, especially Patrik Boman Seven Piece Machine and good friends like Bö and Tommy in the house and Riitta down with flu! 18th of February leaving for Havanna on my 47th birthday, DV-camera in hand and a terrible storm almost stopping us already at the Viking terminal, but we made it via Eckerö, The Blondes and I. Was nize to be back in the sun and in the laidback rhythm of the heat. Two weeks of walking, wondering and cooling down.
